On September 21, 2024, at Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel (17 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), Aidedo in collaboration with VietCAD and Autodesk, organized a workshop on the theme “Enhance Infrastructural Design Process With Autodesk Civil 3D.” At the event, Aidedo engineers were updated on the latest information regarding Civil 3D software, as well as shared and exchanged experiences with the attendees on the application of Civil 3D in international projects.
1. The Partnership between Aidedo and VietCAD

This workshop aims to share experiences and successes in applying Civil 3D software to international projects with the AEC community in Vietnam.
2. Sharing from VietCAD and Autodesk on the AEC Software Suite
At the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Hung Mai (AEC Technical Manager of VietCAD) introduced the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) software suite. He provided an overview of each product’s features, highlighting functionalities that engineers often overlook. Notably, Autodesk Docs was emphasized as a tool that enables engineers, designers, and project teams to easily manage, share, and control documents related to construction projects. Despite its utility, Aidedo has not fully leveraged this tool’s potential.
Following that, Ms. Thanh Nguyen (License Compliance of Autodesk) gave a presentation on licensing policies, software installation, and usage. She introduced software licensing, usage regulations when working abroad, and security measures. She also highlighted the risks of using pirated software, such as legal violations, lack of updates, and no technical support. Aidedo is proud to be a partner of Autodesk, delivering the best projects to our clients.
3. Practical Sharing from Aidedo on Applying Civil 3D to International Projects
The next presentation was delivered by Mr. Aiden Tong, CEO of Aidedo, who shared the journey of founding and developing Aidedo JSC. After graduating with a degree in civil engineering from one of the top universities in Vietnam, and working for a company specializing in designing and executing international projects, he became eager to access the world’s most advanced engineering techniques.
This drive led him to study and work in the U.S., where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience in the construction field and learned about the needs of U.S. business owners. Seizing this opportunity, he returned to Vietnam with youthful passion and enthusiasm, laying the first bricks for what would become Aidedo JSC. Initially starting with just 4-5 members, the company has grown to over 50 members after five years, completing thousands of projects of various sizes in countries such as the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, and more. Aidedo’s Civil Engineering and Land Survey Drafting services have expanded to include multiple sub-services to meet diverse client needs, such as Land Development, Subdivision, Grading and Drainage Plan, Swept Path Analysis, Topographic Survey, ALTA Survey, and more.
Also speaking at the event was Mr. Henry Tran, Manager of Civil Department at Aidedo, who shared his specialized knowledge and practical experience in effectively applying Civil 3D. He provided insights from hundreds of projects he had overseen, which greatly excited the attendees, as these invaluable experiences cannot be easily found elsewhere. Such as the use of feature lines to create accurate surfaces, how to present drawings according to user standards (city/county/state), and the application of Civil 3D for designing a bioretention basin, how to use the watershed tool to determine the boundaries of a rainwater drainage basin….The attendees, many of whom were business owners or engineers working on projects in Vietnam, had the unique opportunity to learn about the application of Civil 3D in international projects.
The workshop concluded with a lively Q&A session, with hands eagerly raised for questions. Mr. Henry Tran answered each query in detail, offering solutions that could be immediately applied to different project scenarios. For more complex questions, he promised to follow up via email. Attendees left satisfied, having resolved key challenges in their own projects. The insights shared by Aidedo also served as a testament to the quality of our services in the international market.
4. Awarding Autodesk Certificate of Completion Civil 3D to Aidedo Engineers
In the spirit of continually updating the latest international knowledge and standards in civil engineering to deliver the best projects to clients, Aidedo collaborated with VietCAD (Autodesk Authorized Training Center) to provide training for its engineers to earn the Autodesk Certificate of Completion in Civil 3D. This workshop also served as an opportunity to present these professional certifications to Aidedo’s engineers.
